- Shirley is one of the writers of the LifeWay Press publication, Transformed Lives: Taking Women’s Ministry to the Next Level and currently writes articles for LifeWay web site. In addition her latest book; Heart Friends was released in June 2005. Eight years ago Shirley started Beyond The Call Ministries which has lead her to travels across the country speaking at women’s conferences and retreat centers. She has a passion to disciple women and encourages them to live differently according to our calling as believers in Christ Jesus. She also serves as the Women’s Enrichment Consultant for the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention and is the Director of Women’s Ministry State Leadership Team. Shirley and her husband live on a small ranch near Lake Texoma. Shirley loves to read and spend time with her husband.
